Dr Asif Saifuddin

MBBS FRCR. Consultant Radiologist – Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust

Dr Asif Saifuddin FRCR is an international authority in musculoskeletal, spine and sarcoma imaging. Dr Saifuddin is invited to lecture all over the world and has a unique style of simplifying difficult concepts.

His acclaimed reference textbook Musculoskeletal MRI is the go-to guide in the field and a bench book all over the world. He has written multiple book chapters including in the popular radiology reference book Grainger and Allison. He is one of the most published musculoskeletal radiologists in the UK and Europe and a consultant of 26 years at the UK’s largest tertiary orthopaedic centre, The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.

Dr Imran Lasker

MBBS BSc(Hons) FRCR. Consultant Radiologist – Basildon and Thurrock Hospital Trust

Dr Imran Lasker graduated from UCL. He completed his radiology training and went on to complete a Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship at Imperial College Healthcare Trust.

During his time there he gained extensive experience in Trauma and Neuro imaging. His main interests are MSK, general/oncological and Trauma Radiology. He is keen on both education and has been awarded the “Imperial Teaching Hero award” for his work on establishing regular radiology lectures for Imperial undergraduates. He is also contributed to teaching materials on the “Electronic Radiology Integrated Training Initiative”, commonly known as E-RITI, an online teaching resource endorsed by the Royal College Of Radiologists.

Dr Syed Junaid

MBBS BSc(Hons) AICSM FRCR. Consultant Radiologist – Princess of Wales Hospital

Syed graduated from Imperial College London and completed his radiology training in Cardiff. He is a consultant radiologist at Princess of Wales Hospital, South Wales, and 4Ways Healthcare.

He is a fellowship-trained radiologist with a post-CCT fellowship at the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London. Syed specialises in musculoskeletal, head and neck, and Cardiac radiology.​

Dr Aleksander Marin

Consultant Cardiothoracic Radiologist and Lead for Thoracic Imaging – University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff

Dr Aleksander Marin graduated from the Ljubljana Faculty of Medicine where he also completed his training in radiology. He subspecialised in cardiothoracic imaging and worked as a Cardiothoracic Radiologist at the University Clinic Golnik which is a leading institution in the field of allergology, clinical immunology and pulmonology in Slovenia.

  In 2015 he completed a 15 month cardiothoracic radiology fellowship in Edinburgh. During his time there he gained extensive experience in cardiothoracic imaging and helped develop and deliver multiple training sessions and well renowned courses in cardiothoracic imaging.

  In 2016 he was appointed to a substantive consultant radiologist post and became a lead for thoracic imaging in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. Since 2018 he is also a consultant trainer in thoracic imaging at the National Imaging Academy of Wales and since 2019 a Training Programme Director for radiology training in South Wales.

  Dr Marin in peer-reviewed author and has lead on several teaching sessions and coursers in thoracic imaging. He is a passionate teacher with special interest in innovative ways of delivering training. 

Dr Anand Sastry


Consultant Neuroradiologist Diagnositic & Intervention – University Hospital of Wales ,Cardiff

Dr Anand Sastry is a Consultant Neuroradiologist in the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. Anand was appointed as a Consultant Neuroradiologist in 2017 after completing his diagnostic & interventional neuroradiology training in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK.

Dr Ramanan Rajakulasingam

MBBS FRCR. Consultant Radiologist – Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital

Dr Rajakulasingam is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), Stanmore, UK. He is one of the leading academic forces advancing research and training at RNOH with a large volume of major peer-reviewed publications as well as book chapters, including the upcoming edition of the popular radiology reference textbook by David Sutton. Dr Rajakulasingam qualified from St George’s Medical School in London. He completed his radiology training on the West Midlands scheme, with sub-speciality tertiary centre experience in musculoskeletal imaging from the University Hospital and Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham. This was followed by further Post CCT fellowship training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore where he is now a consultant.

Dr Amish Lakhani


Consultant Radiologist - Special interest in whole-body functional imaging with MRI and PET-CT, image-guided radiotherapy planning and multi-parametric prostate MRI.

Dr Lakhani is a Consultant Radiologist at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, reporting a range of cross-sectional studies including CT, MRI and PET. He is the lead radiologist for the Mount Vernon CyberKnife multidisciplinary meeting. He completed his medical training at the University of Cambridge and University College London where he graduated with Distinction. Following completion of his specialist radiology training at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Dr Lakhani was appointed as Clinical Fellow in Oncological and Genitourinary Imaging at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust where he also performed image-guided onco-interventional procedures. Dr Lakhani has special interests in whole-body MRI, PET-CT, image-guided radiotherapy planning and multi-parametric prostate MRI. Dr Lakhani is a core member of the specialist Uro-oncology MDT at Imperial College where he works closely with Urologists in the RAPID “one-stop” prostate pathway. Dr Lakhani is the radiology training lead at Mount Vernon. He is an invited examiner on several FRCR courses and is Clinical Supervisor for radiology trainees at the department. Dr Lakhani is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London. He has presented internationally, published in international journals and has been awarded national and international prizes.

Dr Andrew Gogbashian


Consultant Radiologist. Special interests in low-dose CT, dual-energy CT, multi-parametric prostate MRI, whole-body MRI, healthcare screening whole-body MRI
Dr Gogbashian graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine and is a Consultant Oncological Radiologist and lead radiologist for CT at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. He was a Research Fellow at The Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA and is the author or co-author of several peer-reviewed papers, review articles and published abstracts. He has been awarded prizes by the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) and Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). Dr Gogbashian has an established reputation in oncological imaging with expertise in a range of cancer and non-cancer pathology, including low-dose CT scanning, dual-energy CT, multiparametric imaging – including prostate MRI and whole-body MRI. He has one of the largest experiences of reporting whole-body MRI in the UK.

Dr Naleem is a GI Radiologist at Basildon. He is a passionate teacher and heavily involved in the training of registrars.

Dr Mary Hart


Consultant Head & Neck Radiologist – University Hospital of Wales Cardiff

Dr Hart is a senior consultant and lead for head and neck imaging at the tertiary centre of the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. She obtained her radiology training and specialisation from Oxford.
