Why an Online Fellowship?

Reporting of emergency x-rays takes a lot of time and practice and with the unprecedented demands on emergency departments the timely assessment of x-rays is of the utmost importance.


We have put together this course to help anyone that is interested in upskilling or gaining competencies in plain film reporting.

We cover everything from anatomy through to key findings to pick up as well as how to report them.


Dr Imran Lasker MBBS FRCR – Consultant Radiologist

Dr Lasker has trained in some of the busiest London teaching hospitals and is very experienced in trauma imaging having worked at St Mary’s hospital. He also subspecialises in the musculoskeletal imaging having undertaken and completed a year fellowship at Imperial Hospital Trust.

He has also done lecturing for Everlight Evening Webinars and features on Radiopaedia Virtual conference 2022.

Dr Syed Junaid MBBS FRCR – Consultant Radiologist

Dr Syed Junaid Graduated from Imperial College London and completed his radiology training in South Wales. Dr Junaid is in charge of training reporting radiographers and radiology trainees on plain film reporting at Princess of Wales Hospital, where he is a Consultant Radiologist

Online Course Structure

The course is relatively intense and has been split over 12 weeks, with a focus on a specific area each week.

1. Core knowledge lectures
Delegates will have acess to key knowledge required to competently report emergency imaging. Key lectures are split into anatomy and common emergency findings.

2. DICOM Case Reporting
Every week, delegates will be given approximately 30 x-rays on our Cloud PACS DICOM system which they will review and report.

3. Reporting Model Answers
Model answers to weekly reporting cases. Delegates will then check their reports against the model reports.

4. Video explaining every case
Every case will also include a teaching video associated with it, a very important aspect of the fellowship.

5. Weekly Live Q&A and Reporting
The live session will help answer any questions that fellows may have and address any issues and go through the weeks x-ray batch

All the delegate material, cases, and videos will be available for 12 months.

Week 1 to 6

Every week there will be 1 self marked 30 x ray bundle and 1 live marked 30 x ray bundle.

360 plain film x-rays will be reviewed with varying complexities to mimic real life reporting!
